The Ph.D. programme provides a level of knowledge to achieve deep understanding in economics as envisaged for the development of professional economists. Scientists in the field carry out scientific research in various areas of the national economy and apply knowledge to foreign and local situations for the solution of practical issues. Ph.D. students collaborate with well-known scholars from around the world. The programme is designed to allow students’ research projects to be placed in academic institutions ahead of their arrival as scholars and researchers. Graduates are also qualified to ascend to managerial positions in the public or private sectors and international organisations.
Our Ph.D. students participate in the Erasmus Mundus programme to improve their research skills and gain international experience.
Participation in the programme and future perspectives
The Ph.D. is offered to graduates holding a master’s degree in a related field. The Field Doctorate Ph.D. programme is intended primarily for those who wish to earn a degree in trade, finance, social, scientific, technical, environmental and/or global economics in Azerbaijan and abroad.
